Position Overview

The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Dean of Students. The Senior Conduct Officer will assist in the responsibility for providing innovative leadership for the student code of conduct, policies and procedures, Title IX and risk management for students and student groups. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, student centered and dedicated professional. Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, education, social sciences, or a related field; and three (3) years of experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Five to seven years of progressive experience in higher education.
* Experience working with community standards.
* Active involvement in related professional organizations.
* Significant knowledge and expertise in Title IX, Clery and other key compliance components.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues with significant problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Job Duties

• Handles individual student problems, complaints grievances and rights adjustment situations and provides policy interpretation, as assigned and provides advice and counsel to students relative to personal, social, financial, academic and organizational concerns. 
• Enforces, manages and communicates the Universitys student conduct system, stated regulations, risk management pertaining to students, academic integrity and sanctions, including administering the disciplinary system as stated in the Code of Student Conduct and conducts disciplinary investigations, as needed.
• Ensures that proper documentation of action and records are maintained, and keeps other involved offices informed of status, to include maintaining records for conduct in campus housing, the CARE Team and preparing, analyzing and maintaining statistical information related to the conduct system.
• Process Title IX inquiries and complaints from students, faculty, staff and third parties by investigations in a timely manner and providing a fair and neutral process for both the complainant and respondent.
• Serves as a Campus Security Authority for Clery and a Responsible Employee under Title IX.
• Maintain community service opportunities for student groups; work with appropriate University officials and departments to facilitate satisfactory solutions to issues and problems; and assess and develop education programs related to Community Standards.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of schools, colleges, regional campuses, campus departments, student support programs, and student organizations in regards to policies related to maintaining an appropriate academic living/learning environment.
• Serve as a member of the decision making body in relation to the revisions to The Student Code, including researching, evaluating, and recommending changes; serve on various additional committees.
