Join Our Nursing Team at Pyramid Healthcare!

Location: Harford Facility 1015 Pulaski Hwy, Joppa, Maryland

Hourly Rate: $28 - $34/hour before differentials!

Schedule:

  • Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 days per week
  • Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 days per week

Summary: Come join our Nursing Team in providing direct nursing services to clients in adult substance-use treatment! Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program offers comprehensive treatment paths for both men and women struggling with substance use disorders, including methamphetamine and other stimulants, co-occurring disorders, and a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction. Under a passionate leadership team, Pyramid Healthcare in Harford provides extensive behavioral healthcare encompassing psychiatry, addiction recovery, and mental disorder treatment in a supportive environment. We empower our clients to overcome life's challenges and reclaim their health and well-being at every stage of recovery.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Instruct and guide chemical dependency technicians in client care responsibilities and assignments.
  • Orient new employees to unit-specific policies and procedures while providing constructive feedback and direction to students/interns.
  • Convey accurate information in a supportive and courteous manner to nursing and tech staff.
  • Seek supervision and direction from the physician, complete nursing assessments under the direction of the RN, manage transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.
  • Understand detox protocols and assist the medical doctor as needed, including providing medical lectures.
  • Report unusual occurrences promptly to the nurse supervisor/program director and ensure room assignments meet clients' needs.
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings.
  • Maintain medical equipment in proper working order while ensuring confidentiality and proper boundaries.
  • Collaborate as a team builder, drive continuous improvement projects, multitask effectively, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Current LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP).
