• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing relevant assessments, and formulating effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Effectively explain evaluation findings and treatment options to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting to foster a cooperative recovery process.
• Implement personalized treatment protocols, adapting techniques based on each patient's unique presentation and progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and address any concerns that arise during treatment.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and promptly, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries that paint a comprehensive picture of the patient's journey.
• Maintain an organized schedule while managing time efficiently to meet productivity standards and ensure timely service delivery.
• Actively participate in departmental initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance access to care and promote awareness of rehabilitation services.

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, and sports-related injuries. Our patient population is diverse, ranging from young athletes to older adults, all of whom benefit from tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring mobility, strength, and overall physical function.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• While prior work experience is not necessary, any clinical internships or hands-on experiences specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with various physical therapy modalities, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation technologies will be beneficial.
