Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Required
• Proficiency in React with experience building web applications through academic, personal, internship, or professional projects.
• Strong Python development skills, including building backend services, REST APIs, and data-processing solutions.
• Experience with TypeScript and/or strong JavaScript fundamentals, including type safety concepts and modern development practices.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
• Ability to translate wireframes and UX designs into high-quality, responsive front-end applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Preferred • Experience delivering end-to-end projects, capstones, or applications used by real users.
• Internship or professional experience contributing to production software in a product or engineering environment.
• Familiarity with Figma and collaborating with design teams to implement user experiences.
• Experience building prototypes, internal tools, or data applications using Streamlit or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Storybook, component libraries, and front-end documentation practices.
• Experience developing backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience working with design systems, reusable component frameworks, and UI consistency standards.
Tech Stack & Skillset Core Front-End
• React: components, hooks, props, state able to build from scratch without a tutorial open
• TypeScript / JavaScript: type annotations, async patterns, browser fundamentals
• CSS: layout, responsive design, basic animation comfort translating a design into code
• Testing: unit tests with Jest or equivalent; understanding of why tests exist, not just how to write them
Design & Prototyping
• Figma: able to read and navigate design files; bonus if you have created or annotated them
• Streamlit: rapid prototyping of data-backed surfaces and internal tooling
• Storybook: component documentation and isolated development (familiarity sufficient)
Backend & Data
• Python: FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent for building REST APIs and backend services
• SQL: SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, window functions, subqueries comfortable querying a data warehouse independently
• REST API design: data contracts, request/response handling, error patterns
• Basic data pipeline awareness: able to read and understand how data flows from source to surface

• CI/CD basics: able to run tests, read a build pipeline, and understand deployment concepts
Roles & Responsibilities
Full Stack Developm ent
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Python, and REST APIs.
• Build end-to-end features spanning user interfaces, backend services, and data integrations.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to surface data and model outputs effectively.
• Own the design, development, testing, and deployment of assigned features.
Functional Prototyping
• Develop functional prototypes to validate product concepts and user requirements.
• Rapidly iterate on solutions based on stakeholder and end-user feedback.
• Translate ideas into working applications that demonstrate business value.
• Support early-stage experimentation and proof-of-concept development.
Component Library Contribution
• Contribute reusable components to a shared enterprise component library.
• Follow established development standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Create documentation and unit tests to support component adoption and maintainability.
• Promote consistency and reusability across applications and products.
Design Collaboration
• Partner with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and designs into production-ready solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, user feedback sessions, and product discussions.
• Identify technical considerations and implementation constraints early in the design process.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
Backend Services & Data Integration
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and API layers supporting intelligence products.
• Build and manage APIs, data contracts, integrations, and service interactions.
• Integrate applications with data pipelines, analytics platforms, and model outputs.
• Ensure reliable, scalable, and accurate data delivery to user-facing applications.
