Job description

Title: Loan Servicing Internship

Standard Hours: 35-40 hours per week

Primary Location: San Antonio Office

Reports to: COO Division, Director of Member Experience

Job Description

The internship role is responsible for processing applications and evaluating risk. As part of this role you will review and process loan documentation, act as the members advocate, find loan processing solutions, and act as their primary point of contact and ensure every member has amazing experience. This role is a fundamental part of what makes Student Choice different. Credit Unions pride themselves on delivering an experience for their members that is second to none. Primary Responsibilities

  • All components of loan processing are completed accurately and thoroughly documented
  • Underwriting tasks as assigned
  • Tailoring responses and actions based on individual preferences and activity
  • Conducting thorough application review at each touch point to ensure correct actions are taken
  • Handling questions from borrowers and setting proactive review points
  • Ensuring quality of service for their borrowers at every touch point
  • Sorting through applicant information and maintaining accurate records

Requirements

  • Preference for Sophomores or Juniors / Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Highly motivated and dependable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent typing/data entry skills

Work Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
