Job description

The Basketball Front End Developer will be involved be assisting in building and maintaining a dynamic, user-friendly website that supports Pacers Basketball, LLC (PBLLC). They'll work closely with our Basketball Systems Developer to translate data into visually appealing and functional web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. The Basketball Front End Developer's focus will be on the front end, where they will implement reports and components, fix bugs, enhance layouts and ensure the website is responsive across all devices and browsers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in building and maintaining web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python
  • Translate SQL and design mockups or ideas into visually appealing and responsive front-end elements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with website functionality, layout, or design.
  • Implement updates and improvements to existing front-end code based on feedback and new requirements.
  • Conduct testing to ensure compatibility and performance on various browsers and screen sizes.
  • Ensure accurate and fast data retrieval between the database and site.
  • Work closely with the Basketball Systems Developer and other team members to display data accurately and efficiently, including some data engineering and back end design

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, information systems, engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant front-end experience, internships, or personal projects is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Vue.js, general knowledge of front end frameworks considered a plus
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn Bootstrap for responsive design and prebuilt components.
  • Experience with Python and familiarity with SQL for integrating front-end with back-end services.
  • Familiarity with Data Engineering design principles such as ETL, idempotency
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
