Job Summary:
Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Basketball Front End Developer to assist in building and maintaining a dynamic, user-friendly website for Pacers Basketball, LLC. The role involves collaborating with the Basketball Systems Developer to create visually appealing web interfaces and ensure the website is responsive across devices.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Assist in building and maintaining web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python
โ€ข Translate SQL and design mockups or ideas into visually appealing and responsive front-end elements.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve issues with website functionality, layout, or design.
โ€ข Implement updates and improvements to existing front-end code based on feedback and new requirements.
โ€ข Conduct testing to ensure compatibility and performance on various browsers and screen sizes.
โ€ข Ensure accurate and fast data retrieval between the database and site.
โ€ข Work closely with the Basketball Systems Developer and other team members to display data accurately and efficiently, including some data engineering and back end design.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, web development, information systems, engineering, or related field.
โ€ข 1-3 years of relevant front-end experience, internships, or personal projects is a plus.
โ€ข Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
โ€ข Experience with Python and familiarity with SQL for integrating front-end with back-end services.

โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
