Job description

Role Overview

GIC, one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds (2,000+ employees across 11 global locations, investing in 40+ countries), is hiring an Associate for its Real Estate Funds & Co-Investments team in New York. The team invests with leading real estate fund managers globally and executes selective co-investments alongside fund partners, maintaining over 60 active fund-manager relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a key member of small deal teams to diligence, assess and execute real estate fund investments and co-investments
  • Take a primary role in fund-level and asset-level financial modeling
  • Present investment proposals to the investment committee
  • Review fund documentation alongside external counsel
  • Monitor and manage existing fund investments and co-investments
  • Help build and maintain relationships with existing and new fund managers
  • Represent GIC at investee funds' annual investor meetings and LP advisory committee meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a business, finance or real estate finance focus
  • Minimum of 2 years of investment banking or real estate experience
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
