Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Summer Quality Engineer Intern for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This role provides foundationalDevelopmentQuality Analyst support for the Quality team, including the review and evaluation of test materials, documentation, processes, and key project deliverables. This role will also be reviewing software documentation and witnessing software tests, so basic software knowledge is helpful. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment combined with technical expertise and will possess an ability to communicate effectively with team members from different disciplines. The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide basic Quality Analyst support for the Quality team
  • Review software documentation for DoD compliance
  • Review and assess test materials to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Utilize sound configuration management practices and baselines for software code and MS Word documents
  • Evaluate documentation for adherence to quality standards
  • Analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Review key project deliverables to verify alignment with quality requirements
  • Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
  • Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes
  • Gather, organize, and prepare data for engineering use
  • Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, and currently a Junior or above in a Bachelor's program in Software or Computer Engineering or a related technical field
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and interpret technical documents and test materials
  • Basic understanding of quality principles, testing methods, or engineering processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools

The salary range for this position is $41,011.00/year- $53,315.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
