Shape the Future of Autonomy: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies is looking for a proactive Software Development Engineer in Test to design scalable automated frameworks and revolutionize how the global construction industry builds, moves, and grows.

You will act as the work on an agile team, translating high-level marketing requirements into detailed, user-centric specifications, shaping the future of autonomous machine control.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and evolve scalable automated test frameworks to provide rapid feedback for complex, customer-facing machine control software.

  • Spearhead the integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, high-confidence deployments.

  • Lead initiatives to solve high-level technical testing challenges across distributed services and software applications.

  • Partner with engineering teams to improve system observability and testability, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.

  • Conduct unit, component, and system-level testing of hardware and software products during development sprints.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering Test Development.

  • Proven experience automating manual test frameworks and creating documentation to track and execute test cases.

  • Deep understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Automation Testing Life Cycle (ATLC).

  • Hands-on experience integrating automated test suites directly into CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard automation tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
