Job description

GRADUATE INTERNSHIP GOAL
Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel Company Marine Construction Division will recruit, for full-time employment, Graduate Interns for the purpose of orientation to and training in marine construction operations. Interns will learn how to operate the equipment, run surveys, and all technical aspects of a marine construction job. In addition to the technical training and mastery of skills, the Graduate Intern will receive training and orientation to leadership, safety, health, and personnel management skills and information which prove to be as important in a career as the technical skill application. The Graduate Intern can expect to transition into a full-time roll as a Field Engineer, Foreman, or similar leadership role as these skills are mastered sufficiently to lead on a project.
GRADUATE INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel Company intends to recruit for Graduate Interns and will make offers as candidates are identified. Recent graduates and projected graduates between December of 2025 and May 2026 are encouraged to apply.
TARGET GRADUATE INTERN FIELD OF STUDY
Students with a completed field of study in the area of Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or any related field or administrative / support field to these areas of study (with or without a marine emphasis) will be the target group for consideration.
GRADUATE INTERN COMPENSATION
The Compensation for the Graduate Intern position will be as follows:
  • Sign-On Bonus - A sign on bonus will be paid at the completion of the first week of report.
  • Hourly Compensation - An hourly wage will be paid. Overtime will be paid over 40 hours in any week or otherwise as stipulated by law or statute in the location of
  • Company Vehicle - Company vehicle provided with gas card. Limited personal use.
  • Benefits - Full complement of benefits including medical and 401k with match and profit sharing
MARINE CONSTRUCTION GRADUATE INTERNSHIP LOCATION
Pine Bluff Marine Construction work is primarily on the Lower Mississippi River with a base of operations in Alexandria, LA. The internship should be expected to include constant travel and report to various locations.
