Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator (FIC) will assist people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families in the utilization and maintenance of their Self Direction (SD) budget. The FIC is responsible for ensuring services are implemented as listed in the approved budget and assisting in the payment of approved goods and services. This position requires a high degree of customer service and attention to detail, ensuring best practices are carried out to achieve service effectiveness and efficiency.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as liaison between persons supported, Support Brokers, and OPWDD
  • Assist persons supported with maintaining their SD budget.
  • Monitor SD budget utilization and facilitate changes when needed.
  • Provide assistance to persons supported and families with expenditures.
  • Schedule and/or attend team meetings as required, including the Life Plan.
  • Ensure services are related to listed valued outcomes.
  • Monitor compliance standards and follow up with the Circle of Support to ensure these standards are met.
  • Monitor quality of services delivered to persons supported.
  • Complete all assignments in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed of programmatic changes at agency, State, and Federal levels.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to follow instructions, interpret OPWDD guidance, and respond to management's directions accurately and efficiently.
  • Must complete work accurately and thoroughly, and monitor own work to ensure quality.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize work activities, and use time efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions.
  • Ability to follow instructions, interpret OPWDD guidance, and respond to management's directions accurately and efficiently.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors Degree (preferred) and experience working in the OPWDD field.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) candidates highly encouraged.

Requirements
  • A Valid Driver's License and Insured Vehicle.
  • PPD (TB test required with proof of results; no more than 1 year old)

Salary Description
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
