Job description

Responsibilities

  • Design & Development of Seating systems with 10+ Years experience
  • Design of all seating parts - Sheet metal, plastics and surrounding parts from the concept to mass production
  • 3D, 2D and 3DA experience in Catia V5 & Catia V6 with good Surface modelling skills.
  • Design Considering the Package, styling, vehicle regulation & performance
  • Experience in FMVSS, ECE regulatory requirements
  • Good knowledge in Occupant safety regulation
  • Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & DFA
  • Intermediate checking with cross functional team and check Module level
  • Offshore coordination for tasks on schedule with desired qulaity
  • Guide team on continuous quality improvement

• Supporting BIW DFMEA’s, DVP’s & Functional Safety deliverables through project milestones at Systems Level.

• Candidate will deliver project-based goals set by the program management team.

• The scope of the role covers all BIW projects from, feasibility through to production vehicles. Specific areas of System Focus are :-

  • Defining and Maturing critical sections
  • Packaging
  • Develop and execute Upper body and underbody components
  • Interpret CAE simulation results
  • Integrate recommendations into product design
  • Liaison customer closures interactions

• The role covers BIW projects from feasibility through to production

• Responsible for ensuring the Body System content is delivered robustly on-time

• To accurately track status versus project milestones, implement & monitor status utilizing KPI tracking tools.

• Actively engage with client to collaborate on design projects for trading off cost, mass, joining methods, formability, and structural performance.

• Ability to create complex underbody BIW data design incorporating best practice

• Propose and promote design improvement approaches including cost reduction

• Responsible for leading Body in White System Integration requirements

• Supporting BIW DFMEA’s, DVP’s & Functional Safety deliverables through project milestones at Systems Level.
