Job Summary:
Accenture Federal Services is dedicated to helping the US federal government enhance national security and improve lives through technology. As a Software Engineer, you will develop distributed backend services and APIs to support operational AI adoption and scalable software delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices and distributed systems to support enterprise AI operations
• You will be responsible for building and maintaining microservices that integrate seamlessly with cloud-native platforms, ensuring continuous monitoring and high reliability across all operational workflowsBuild and optimize APIs and event-driven architectures for scalable and reliable data flow
• Develop Kubernetes-native and cloud-native applications for robust, production-grade deployments
• Integrate and leverage technologies such as Rust, Go, Python, TypeScript, Django, NATS, Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse, OpenTelemetry, OpenRouter, and LiteLLM
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate operational AI adoption using a modern Hub-and-Spoke architecture
• Support integration of AI, DevSecOps, data engineering, platform engineering, cybersecurity, and observability into mission-focused workflows
• Implement continuous monitoring and scalable software delivery pipelines
• Contribute to the development of agentic AI systems and enterprise AI governance solutions
• Ensure high standards of security, reliability, and performance across all backend services and platform microservices
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience in backend microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, Rust, Go, Python, and TypeScript
• Experience with cloud-native engineering practices, API development
• Exposure to enterprise-scale AI operations and mission-driven software delivery
• US Citizen
• An active TS/SCI clearance is required
Preferred:
• Experience in a fast-paced and mission-focused environment, requiring you to collaborate closely with teams specializing in AI, DevSecOps, data engineering, platform engineering, and cybersecurity
• Familiarity with frameworks and tools like Django, NATS, Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse, OpenTelemetry, OpenRouter, and LiteLLM will be highly advantageous as you design and implement scalable, observable, and secure solutions
