As part of the Technology Leadership Program in the Technology Operations track, you'll support and enhance the infrastructure, platforms, and services that keep Vanguard running. Your work will help ensure our systems are reliable, efficient, and scalable -enabling teams across the enterprise to deliver for investors. Through real-world assignments and cross-functional collaboration, you'll gain exposure to infrastructure, cloud technologies, and operational processes that directly impact Vanguard's ability to serve clients.

Are you a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges? Join a team where innovation is driven by purpose. You'll collaborate with engineers, platform teams, and business partners to maintain and improve critical systems while building your ability to take ownership, influence outcomes, and lead through action. Through technical capstones, hackathons, and hands-on projects, you'll strengthen both your technical foundation and your leadership capabilities.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development program available to graduating college seniors who are ready to enter the business world, and eager to develop their technical expertise in Technology Operations while building their leadership skills. The program consists of three, eight-month rotations.

In this program, you will:

  • Support the reliability, performance, and availability of Vanguard's infrastructure and systems
  • Gain hands-on experience in areas such as network engineering, cloud platforms, and automation
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to resolving operational challenges
  • Implement or improve processes that enhance system efficiency and scalability
  • Partner with engineering, platform, and business teams to ensure seamless system performance
  • Apply Agile methodologies to support ongoing enhancements and operational improvements
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes
  • Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions in a supportive environment
  • Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
  • Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, or related technical/engineering subject matter required
  • Strong interest in infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, or platform engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
