Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends

Position Overview

As an RN Supervisor – Transfer Center, you will lead daily nursing operations, collaborate with management, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. This leadership role focuses on patient-centered care, staff development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily administrative and clinical activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop, revise, and implement department policies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and standards, including The Joint Commission.
  • Supervise and mentor staff: scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
  • Support educational initiatives, research, and process improvement projects.
  • Apply Lean principles to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with annual staffing and budget planning, including capital equipment needs.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, physicians, families, and other departments.
  • Conduct regular nursing rounds and provide direct patient care when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records, inventory, and reporting databases.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Current RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards, patient care procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, and ethical practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to train, evaluate, and manage staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
