Crowne Health Care is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) - Infection Prevention Coordinator to join our long-term care and rehabilitation team. This important role is responsible for overseeing the facility's infection prevention and control program while helping ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff.

Qualifications
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Several years of nursing experience required
  • Infection Prevention and Infection Control experience preferred
  • Long-term care experience preferred

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program
  • Monitor, track, investigate, and report infections throughout the facility
  • Manage antibiotic stewardship initiatives and monitor antibiotic utilization
  • Analyze infection trends and implement prevention strategies to improve resident outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local infection control regulations and guidelines
  • Educate and support staff regarding infection prevention practices and protocols
  • Conduct infection surveillance and maintain required documentation and reporting
  • Serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff regarding infection prevention and control practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote resident health and safety
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to infection prevention activities
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and support facility needs as required
  • Always promote and protect the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of our residents
