ARSIEM Corporation is seeking a Junior IA Specialist to support RMF compliance and cybersecurity operations for U.S. Navy systems. This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals. The candidate will work under senior guidance and, depending on experience, may focus on either Windows or Linux environments. This position will support one of our Government clients in Monterey, CA.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with RMF accreditation (Steps 1-6) and ATO support in eMASS.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain security documentation and artifacts.
  • Track POA&M remediation and support continuous monitoring.
  • Perform security control checks based on NIST 800-53.
  • Support vulnerability scanning efforts using ACAS, Nessus, or Tenable tools.
  • Participate in compliance activities and maintain systems aligned to STIGs and SCAP guidelines for:
  • Windows OS (including MECM patching, STIG reviews), or
  • Linux OS (preferably RHEL, with Ansible patching, STIG reviews)
  • Provide administrative support for IAM and contribute to Zero Trust initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or equivalent internship/military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent military training).
  • Familiarity with RMF and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAM Level I certification.
  • Exposure to ACAS, eMASS, Splunk, or similar cybersecurity tools.

$77,000 - $94,000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active Secret clearance. Top Secret eligible is preferred. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
