Job description



Summary:
The Vision Systems Engineer will support the prevention of quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.
Responsibilities:

  • Submit daily production reports on improvements and KPIs which is distributed to production teams and HQ
  • Support production through adjusting parameters daily
  • Install vision system machine, make schedule for installation equipment, distribute schedule to production teams, HQ, and vendor
  • Inspection machine PM management (inspection machine maintenance/performance management / Vision Spare Parts)
  • Inspection equipment improvement activities
  • Improve/manage inspection machine accuracy and detection power
  • Establishment of inspection information management system
  • Expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for inspection
  • Review/plan of inspection machine model development and model change
  • Develop technician skill and improvement plan and implementing
  • Establishment and management of inspection machine standards
  • Establishment and revision of PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual
  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/ fire regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience


Experience:

  • 1-3+ years of related experience
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or industrial environment will be considered in lieu of full-time experience

Work Authorization:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of automated inspection equipment and machine vision systems
  • Basic understanding of PLC communication and automated production equipment
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document maintenance activities and inspection results accurately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring automated equipment in a continuous production environment.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours:

  • Safety glasses
  • Steel-toed shoes
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Ear protection
  • Cleanroom suit

Must be able to perform the following activities repeatedly for periods of up to 12 hours:

  • Lift, push, and pull materials or equipment
  • Stoop, twist, and bend
  • Reach overhead
  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems

Work Environment:

  • Work may involve handling or working in proximity to hazardous materials and regulated industrial chemicals.
  • Exposure to chemical vapors, dust, or other controlled substances may occur depending on process assignment.
  • Strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA Hazard Communication requirements is mandatory.
  • Employees must properly wear and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times within designated areas.
  • Required PPE may include respirators, chemical-resistant garments, gloves, eye protection, face shields, or other equipment determined by process and risk assessment.
