Job description

Job Overview:

The QA Coordinator provides support regarding packaging, assembly, returned goods and performs incoming audits of purchased parts. Performs quality assurance activities to assure that all finished goods & parts meet the specification and requirements. Monitors systems and procedures to measure their effectiveness to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Identify and address issues in data quality, sourcing, or documentation by reviewing existing data and processes for inconsistencies or gaps.

·       Thoroughly analyze and interpret existing documents and data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with required standards.

·       Oversee compliance with organizational, state, federal, and relevant industry laws, regulations, and guidelines.

·       Promptly inform the QA Manager and Operations team of any deviations from established standards.

·       Gather and review data against a specific baseline to ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.

·       Collaborate with Operations and customers to resolve quality issues as they arise.

·       Identify data-driven solutions and implement quality improvement plans to drive continuous enhancement.

·       Maintain accurate records and compile required QA reports in a timely manner.

·       Actively participate in team and personal development, focusing on quality methodologies and best practices.

·       Support investigations, deviations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Conduct First Article Inspections per AS9102 standards and any other additional customer-specific requirements.

·       Ensure all line equipment is properly calibrated to meet quality standards.

·       Perform internal audits in accordance with established Quality Management Systems (QMS).

·       Uphold a strong commitment to quality in all aspects of work and decision-making.

·       Maintain and manage QT9 activities and related documentation.

·       Coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities effectively.

·       Inspect customer-returned printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards or customer-specific requirements, using a microscope as necessary.

·       Communicate daily RMA findings to the Production Lead and Quality Manager.

·       Assist with Incoming Inspection, IPQ and FQA inspection activities as needed.

·       Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement.

Knowledge (position requirements at entry):

·       Electronic components, industry acceptable inspection and soldering standards, & ESD awareness.

Skills (position requirements at entry):

·       Communication; interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Minimum Requirements:

·       High school diploma or equivalent GED

·       Familiar with IPC 610 standards

·       3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Associates degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

·       IPC-A-610 certified

·       AS9100 & ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

·       3-5 years quality experience in the electronics manufacturing environment.

·       Familiar with QMS Certifications per ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or ISO 13485 requirements.

Quality Management System (QMS):

·       Support and follow all QMS certification(s) standards. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.

Physical Requirements:

·       Must be able to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs. in an 8-hour shift.

·       Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.

·       Sitting, standing (at desk minimal 2-4 hours daily).

·       Walking 6-8 hours

·       Be able to perform light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature.
