Unity Point Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year. This position offers a flexible, fully remote work setting, allowing counselors to choose their hours, primarily between Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as needed. As you provide care via telehealth, you will use our advanced digital platforms to connect with clients, conduct evaluations, and manage treatment plans efficiently.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments, employing effective crisis intervention strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
• Determine appropriate mental health interventions and coordinate the care and disposition of clients, ensuring they receive the best possible level of service.
• Lead group therapy sessions on mental health observation units and related areas, providing a supportive environment for shared experiences and healing.
• Participate in and contribute to case conferences, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review treatment plans that meet the diverse needs of our clients.
• Facilitate communication with external agencies, including the Department of Correction, to ensure that clients have access to necessary services and resources in their recovery journey.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans while adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Engage in clinical supervision sessions at least weekly to enhance personal and professional development, receiving guidance to improve therapeutic skills and client care.
• Participate actively in mental health and medical rounds, contributing insights that improve patient care and case management.
• When assigned, conduct psychological testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to social work interns or student volunteers, helping to cultivate future mental health professionals.

In this role, you will serve a wide range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Our focus extends to various demographics, ensuring that we accommodate clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds through respectful and tailored care interventions. You will be instrumental in supporting patients through both crisis moments and long-term recovery, working diligently to foster resilience and promote mental well-being.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent is essential.

While candidates with a Bachelor's degree are invited to apply, those with a Master's degree in a relevant field combined with hands-on experience in mental health settings will be highly favored.
