Great American's Embedded Solutions group is a newly established team focused on launching innovative insurance products such as Travel, Tenant Homeowners, Ticket, and Cargo in partnership with third-party program administrators.
Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Travel Insurance Program Manager. This individual will have profit & loss responsibility for the Great American's new travel insurance offering. The candidate will manage distribution partnerships, further develop product offerings, underwrite accounts, and collaborate with IT for any technological needs.
Remote applicants may be considered if not local to our Cincinnati office. Candidates local to Cincinnati will work on a hybrid schedule. Great American's culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be onsite four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Define the vision and roadmap for travel insurance products, including trip cancellation, medical, and assistance services.
  • Analyzes market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and improvements and new product development.
  • Determines pricing and coverage for opportunities.
  • Work with distribution partners to tailor products and support sales goals.
  • Ensure all products, policy wordings, and filings comply with state, federal, and international insurance regulations.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (profitability, loss ratios, conversion) to make data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to program workflows.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in product management, underwriting, or financial analysis. Travel insurance experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis, SQL, excel, or actuarial tools.
  • Solid understanding of insurance principles, underwriting, and compliance.

$100,000.00 -$150,000.00
