What is an internship remote project assistant?

Internship Remote Project Assistants are entry-level professionals who support project teams from a remote location, typically while still in school or shortly after graduation. Their responsibilities often include coordinating schedules, conducting research, preparing reports, and assisting with communication among team members. Working remotely, they use digital tools to collaborate and ensure projects stay on track. This role helps interns gain valuable work experience and develop project management skills in a flexible environment.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote project assistant intern?

To thrive as a Remote Project Assistant Intern, you generally need strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, often supported by ongoing education in business, management, or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Teams, and proficiency in office software are typically required. Attention to detail, proactivity, and the ability to work independently make candidates stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for efficiently supporting project teams, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, and contributing positively in a remote work environment.

What types of projects does a remote project assistant intern typically support, and how is work assigned and managed remotely?

As a Remote Project Assistant Intern, you may support projects ranging from research and data collection to coordinating virtual meetings, preparing reports, or helping track project timelines. Work is usually assigned through project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Teams, and regular check-ins with your supervisor or team help ensure clear communication and progress tracking. You'll collaborate with team members via video calls, emails, and shared documents, learning to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting project needs. This experience offers valuable exposure to remote work practices, teamwork, and time management in a real-world business environment.

    Job description

    Job Summary:

    We're hiring a Marketing Assistant for a hands-on internship.

    Job Description:

Are you looking to gain real-world experience in marketing? Are you a passionate, curious individual who enjoys brainstorming creative ways to reach new audiences-and who's genuinely excited about what AI can (and can't) do?

We're looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team this fall, and it's an exciting time to join. We're in the middle of transforming how our marketing team works by building agentic AI workflows into our core processes. Our current intern has already reshaped how we approach lead generation, content creation, and more-and we're looking to build on that momentum.

Here's the thing: everyone out there is claiming they "do AI." We're not interested in using AI just because someone says we should. We've thought critically about what can drive our business forward and have tested and experimented to find AI-first approaches that work. In this internship, you'll learn how to cut through the noise and how a mature organization meaningfully uses AI to generate business results. If that sounds like the kind of environment you want to learn in, keep reading.

As the Marketing Intern, you'll get hands-on experience contributing to every area of marketing, such as:

    • Agentic workflows: Building, maintaining, and optimizing the marketing AI agents we use for lead generation campaigns, social media content, blog content, and more-and helping us discover new use cases we haven't even thought of yet

    • Content marketing: Working with Subject Matter Experts on compelling content for our website and blog

    • Email marketing and account-based marketing: Assisting with campaigns that bring new leads to our business

    • Conferences and tradeshows: Assisting with logistical coordination for upcoming tradeshows

    • Analytics and reporting: Learning reporting best practices and getting a deeper look into how marketing metrics are measured and analyzed

You'll get invaluable experience that will help your future career. This is not an internship where you bring us remote coffee every day. You'll be hands-on in meetings, sharing ideas for campaigns. You'll work directly with our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to bring new campaigns to light. And you'll learn techniques and skills-including practical, real-world AI fluency-that will set your career up for success.

If you're driven, curious, have high attention to detail (typos drive you nuts!), and are excited to start your marketing career, apply today and let us know why you'd be a great fit.

We know balancing an internship with a fall course load or other commitments isn't always easy, so we'll work with you to find hours and a schedule that fit. The minimum commitment is 15 hours per week, but if you're available for a full-time role, we can offer up to 40.

This internship is remote, or you can work out of our offices in Boston, MA; Aventura, FL; or Raleigh, NC.
