About the Role
Filevine is looking for a motivated pre-med student to support our legal AI product team by reviewing and synthesizing medical literature relevant to personal injury and medical-legal case workflows. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how medical knowledge translates into legal tech, ideal for someone considering a career at the intersection of medicine, data, and law.
Responsibilities:
  • Review medical literature, clinical studies, and treatment guidelines relevant to personal injury, workers' comp, or medical malpractice case types
  • Summarize findings into clear, structured briefs for product and engineering teams
  • Help validate medical terminology, diagnosis codes, and treatment pathways used in AI training data
  • Collaborate with product managers to ensure medical accuracy in AI-generated outputs
  • Flag literature gaps or emerging research relevant to case evaluation

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a pre-med undergraduate degree (junior/senior preferred) or recent grad taking a gap year
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to read/interpret clinical studies
  • Excellent written communication and summarization skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong research instincts
  • Interest in legal tech, legal AI, healthcare data, or other AI-forward industries a plus

Compensation Information: $20/hr+
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual's location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine's total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
Work Location Expectation: This position is based out of our San Francisco, Chicago, Salt Lake City or New York offices. Candidates residing in or near these metro areas are expected to work on a hybrid (2-3 days in-office/week) or fully onsite basis.
