Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Department of Correction to facilitate patient access to services, secure appropriate housing solutions, and determine treatment dispositions to support rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate patient care with various institutional programs, leading and developing group therapy sessions focused on mental health for targeted units.
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including crisis assessment, intervention, and ongoing follow-up care to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate actively in clinical supervision, meeting with your Clinical Supervisor at least once a week to reflect on cases and enhance your clinical expertise.
  • Engage in clinical rounds to align mental health care with medical needs, facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences, playing a vital role in treatment planning for patients seeking mental health support.
  • Document all necessary case information accurately and efficiently using our electronic health record system.
  • Conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or student volunteers as needed, guiding their development within the field.
  • Determine the appropriate level of care for patients, coordinating with Reentry Social Workers for effective discharge planning services.
  • Complete required statistical reports to aid in performance analysis and improve service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves children and adolescents facing diverse mental health challenges, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, and behavioral issues. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
