This role primarily takes place in a remote work setting with the convenience of a climate-controlled office space. Despite the remote nature, you will actively engage with colleagues and healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration that enhances team cohesion and patient care quality.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs, using appropriate diagnostic tools, such as the DSM, to inform individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to assess and monitor patient progress, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to effectively support mental health improvement.

• Document all clinical interactions and maintain accurate treatment records, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational procedures.

• Collaborate actively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans that drive desired health outcomes.

• Create culturally sensitive interventions and provide education to address safety, symptom management, and psychosocial needs.

• Facilitate referrals to additional services as needed, serving as a crucial link between patients and necessary healthcare resources.

• Participate in professional mentorship, providing guidance to students, interns, and other less experienced staff while also engaging in peer review and professional development initiatives.

The primary focus for this position is providing mental health support to patients and families impacted by cancer. You will foster a therapeutic environment aimed at addressing the unique emotional, psychological, and social challenges faced by this client population. Understanding the complexities surrounding cancer care will be crucial in delivering empathetic and effective support.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in oncology social work, outpatient therapy, or mental health settings will be given preference. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and prior work within a school setting is advantageous.

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation between USD 90,000 to 105,000.
