• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health statuses, utilizing diagnostic tools such as the DSM-5 to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Provide outpatient therapy to both individuals and families facing the psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis, implementing evidence-based practices to drive positive patient outcomes.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective symptom management and enhancement of mental well-being.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to formulate and review comprehensive treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and aligned with the patients’ goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment records and reports, in alignment with regulatory standards and departmental protocols.
• Serve as an educational resource for interns, volunteers, and students, providing mentorship and guidance in clinical practices and standards.
• Participate in peer reviews and clinical collaborations to enhance team effectiveness and support professional growth among colleagues.
• Coordinate referrals and effectively connect patients with additional specialized services as needed, acting as a vital link in the continuum of care.

This role specifically addresses the mental health needs of children and adolescents who are impacted by cancer, requiring the application of trauma-informed care practices and an understanding of the unique emotional struggles faced by patients and their families. Your work will not only assess and treat immediate psychological conditions but also foster resilience and coping strategies that can last a lifetime.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations, particularly working with families affected by illness.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
• Experience facilitating group therapies or workshops.

The salary range for this position is competitively set between USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
