• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to accurately diagnose and formulate individualized care plans.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and patient progress, employing evidence-based practices that account for the diverse needs of our patient population.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation through electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive treatment strategies that are tailored to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals to other service providers and resources, acting as a connecting link between patients and additional mental health or community services as needed.
• Participate in educational initiatives by providing mentorship and training for interns, students, and other healthcare professionals, contributing to the overall development of the upcoming workforce.
• Contribute to team goals by engaging in peer reviews, case discussions, and clinical audits, enhancing team cohesion and effectiveness.

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals and families coping with the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. With a compassionate approach, you will provide counseling that addresses the complex interrelations of mental health and chronic illness, navigating the unique needs of diverse cultural backgrounds within our patient base.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of mental health practices, diagnostic criteria, and therapeutic modalities relevant to community health.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient settings, preferably with a focus on oncology or chronic illness.
• Familiarity with electronic health systems and documentation best practices.
• Experience providing clinical supervision or mentorship to emerging professionals within the field.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
