Silver Linings Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor to join our team in providing exceptional outpatient care. This full-time, remote position allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of our clients, utilizing your expertise to support individuals, couples, and families on their journey to better mental health. Here, you will conduct thorough mental health assessments, create tailored treatment plans, and lead both individual and group therapy sessions, all from the comfort of your home or an outpatient office setting.

This position is primarily remote but will involve occasional visits to our outpatient office for team meetings and client sessions as necessary. • Conduct thorough initial assessments through in-depth interviews and comprehensive documentation, tracking client progress from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
• Evaluate and understand clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health conditions, working diligently to identify their unique needs.
• Develop individualized intervention strategies and recovery plans for diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities as appropriate to enhance client participation and understanding.
• Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed based on ongoing evaluations and client feedback, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and effective intervention plans.
• Provide follow-up support to clients transitioning from hospital care, ensuring continuity of care and stability during recovery.
• Educate and assist families and caregivers in managing dynamics related to mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for the client.

The clients you will serve at Silver Linings span a wide range of backgrounds and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our focus is on meeting clients where they are, establishing trust, and providing a safe space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A successful passing score on the NCE (National Counselor Examination) and/or the NCMHCE (National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination).
• Experience as a mental health counselor, providing therapy and guidance to individuals or groups.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of mental health conditions, emotional health issues, and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices and ethical guidelines set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex clinical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues alike.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy and a supportive demeanor in all interactions.

• Prior experience working in a remote counseling capacity.
• Knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Participation in continuing education or specialized training in therapeutic techniques or mental health trends.

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual earning potential of $80,000 to $100,000, plus a sign-on bonus.
