Full-Stack Software Developer 

Location: Remote / On-Site – Springfield, VA

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience


ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Full-Stack Software Developer you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting Sphinx internal development and federal customers. Activities will span front-end interfaces, back-end services, and data layers. This is hands-on development in a mix of corporate and classified environments, building secure and scalable tools that drive real mission outcomes.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications in corporate & classified environments 
  • Build responsive front ends (React, Vite, MUI), back-end services (Node, Express, PostgreSQL), and integrate shared tooling (TypeScript)
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications 
  • Build and maintain DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines for secure continuous delivery 
  • Apply secure coding practices aligned to OWASP guidelines and NIST 800-53 controls 
  • Architect and implement Zero Trust network and application design 
  • Partner with program security officers, data engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into working software


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Polygraph (within the last 5 years) 
  • U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility) 
  • 8+ years of software development experience across the full stack
  • AI-augmented development experience
  • Docker / Kubernetes container orchestration
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Secure coding experience (OWASP, NIST 800-53) 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Software development on Intelligence Community programs 
  • Iron Bank / DCAR hardened container experience 
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) 
  • Zero Trust architecture implementation (NIST 800-207) 
  • AI/ML integration into software platforms 
  • CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or AWS Solutions Architect
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field
