Are you a student looking to make extra money this summer while gaining valuable work experience? Ascensus is the leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, providing products and expertise that help nearly 16 million people save for a better today and tomorrow. Our internship program offers practical corporate work experience that could lead to full-time work after graduation. We are seeking students going into their senior year, graduating in the spring of 2027.
The shift is from 9 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week, starting in June and ending in August. This will be onsite 5 days a week in Lake Mary, FL andpays $21 per hour.
The Financial Analyst Intern will support the Financial Services Team with preparing plan design proposals and financial analyses involving the funding of non-qualified executive benefit programs. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to financial analysis while developing strong analytical, technical and professional skills.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Service Directors to assist with financial modeling and forecasting of non-qualified benefit plans, including, but not limited to deferred compensation and supplemental executive retirement plans.
  • Prepares ad-hoc financial analyses to support the business and operational efficiencies.
  • Assists in data collection, validation and reconciliation from multiple sources.
  • Participates in special projects to enhance productivity/efficiency and our suite of non-qualified services and reporting.
  • Helps to develop dashboards and reports for management.
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Newport to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.
