Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing professionals the flexibility to work from the comfort of their home while attending to their clients' needs. As a counselor in an outpatient office setting, you will primarily conduct sessions on an appointment basis, enabling you to create a personalized schedule that accommodates both your clients and your work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to develop suitable treatment plans tailored to their specific mental health needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, couple, family, and group counseling sessions, with a focus on measurable progress and outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, ensuring that each approach is customized effectively for clients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care that considers all aspects of their health.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of client information.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending relevant workshops and staying updated on current research and advancements in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will work with a diverse patient population from the Trenton, NJ area, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking assistance with a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Through empathetic listening and compassionate care, the counselor will facilitate positive mental health outcomes and foster resilience in clients.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, with a preference for candidates who have worked in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient mental health services, alongside familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, will be highly regarded. Candidates with prior experience utilizing teletherapy platforms and working in collaborative settings with other healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply.
