Keyย Responsibilities:ย

  • Orchestrateย and executeย over the air (OTA) software deployments toย globallyย fieldedย systemsย in a potentially degraded, disconnected, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) connectivity environment. This engineer willย be responsible forย automating the deployment and security of software, reducing the need for expensive FSR travel while increasing the operational availability of the fleet. Once the software is live, theย DevSecOpsย engineer willย monitorย its health remotely to preempt failures that couldย impactย mission.ย
  • Architect Resilience:ย Maintainย scalable Kubernetes infrastructure on AWSย IL-6ย with high availability and fault tolerance.ย
  • Orchestrate Delivery: Build and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CDย for seamless code-to-cloud transitionsย including across security domains.ย
  • Secure the Stack: Integrate automated security scanning (Trivy, SonarQube) and enforce compliance with government security standards throughout the development lifecycle.ย
  • Optimizeย Performance:ย Identifyย bottlenecks and engineer solutions across cloud and container environments, from cluster tuning to artifact management.ย
  • Develop features to automate, scale, test, and secure a Kubernetes-based infrastructure.ย
  • Build andย maintainย hardened Docker container images, including STIG-compliant base images, optimizedย Dockerfiles, and integration with Harbor and CI/CD pipelines.ย
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.ย
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure that allย DevSecOpsย practicesย comply withย organizational standards and regulatory requirements.ย
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility for security.ย

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer scienceย or related field, or equivalent experience.ย
  • At least 7+ years (senior level) in DevOps, Infrastructure, orย DevSecOpsย in a cloud environment.ย

Profit Sharing Plan (PSP)

The PSP is a qualified retirement plan that Northstrat funds quarterly on the employee's behalf through the IBA in the amount equivalent to 25% (up to the IRS contribution limit) of the employee's compensation. That is, of the 50% accrual in the IBA, half of the amount accrued is applied to the PSP
