Job description

Position Overview

Goldfinch Counseling and Life Skills PLLC is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in providing critical therapy services to individuals and families navigating the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. This full-time position allows for remote work while being an integral part of a dynamic Community Health Clinic dedicated to enhancing health outcomes in our community.

About the Organization

At Goldfinch Counseling and Life Skills PLLC, our vision is transformative and driven by a deep commitment to redefine health care. We aim to foster a proactive partnership in health by prioritizing not only exceptional patient care but also community enrichment. Our values of compassion, excellence, leadership, innovation, and agility empower our team to rise to these challenges, ensuring that we deliver higher care standards while supporting mental and emotional well-being.

We are devoted to creating an inclusive culture that values continuous learning and development, underpinned by accessible leadership that respects work/life balance. As part of our commitment to attracting talented professionals, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, alongside a generous sign-on bonus.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled and designed to encourage movement throughout our facilities while promoting collaboration. You will interact with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, fostering a supportive atmosphere where your contributions are valued. Our office is outfitted with the latest in digital technology, ensuring that you have the necessary tools at your disposal to deliver exemplary patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments, diagnose mental health conditions when necessary, and evaluate each patientโ€™s status using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) with cultural sensitivity in mind.
  • Create customized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with the specific needs and goals of patients, continually assessing their progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive treatment records digitally, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and department protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with patients and their families to develop actionable treatment objectives, enhancing patient safety and symptom management.
  • Act as a liaison coordinating referral options and establishing rapport with other treatment providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide mentoring and education to students and interns, participating in team development activities like peer reviews and clinical discussions led by your clinical supervisor.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is particularly focused on individuals and families affected by cancer. You will provide vital outpatient therapy that addresses not only the emotional complexities associated with a cancer diagnosis but also incorporates coping strategies that empower clients to manage their mental health effectively. Your training in culturally adaptive and person-centered practices will be essential in delivering care that resonates with the diverse backgrounds of our patient population.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Preferred Experience

While our minimum qualifications include the basic educational and licensing requirements, we prefer candidates who possess:

  • Experience in outpatient therapy specifically related to oncology or chronic illness settings.
  • Strong competency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a track record of collaborative care approaches.
  • Familiarity with digital health technologies that enhance patient support and engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Generous signing bonus for new hires.
  • Flexible work schedules that accommodate outpatient care without the need for nights, weekends, or hospital calls.
  • Full benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with a company match.
  • Paid parental leave, holidays, and Employee Assistance Programs.
  • Opportunities for professional development and additional compensation for clinical collaboration with mid-level providers.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Goldfinch Counseling and Life Skills, we believe in nurturing our team members' career aspirations through ongoing education and professional growth. As you advance within the organization, you may find opportunities to take on leadership roles or specialize further within the field of mental health.

Why Join Our Team
