Job description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential patient care services within a long-term care facility, supporting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. Reporting directly to a Registered Nurse, the CNA will play a critical role in monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and maintaining infection control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately
  • Support patient mobility using appropriate aids and perform extensive physical assistance and lifting
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols
  • Document medical information clearly and timely
  • Sanitize medical equipment regularly
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to risks
