All therapists will rotate through various specialized areas such as: Cardiac Surgical Unit, Medical, Neuro and Cardiopulmonary Intensive care areas. We are a level II Trauma Center containing a busy Emergency Center with a specialized STEMI and Stroke team. Our Respiratory Care department is high performing, with Care practitioners working with autonomy. We have a dedicated pulmonary navigator and department educator providing competencies monthly and generous pay-for-skills program where Therapists are paid annually for their Intubation and A-line skills. In addition, we will pay you to achieve and maintain an NBRC credential above RRT. We are a proud teaching affiliate of the local Respiratory Care program and our hospital's ongoing commitment to teaching and training medical interns and residents. The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
  • Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
  • Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Is trained to performs Intubations and A-line skills
Certifications and Licensures Required:
  • RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
  • Active NBRC Credential for RRT
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
  • PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:
  • Associate's Respiratory Therapy - required

Bachelor's degree- preferred
Experience Required:
  • New grads from an Accredited respiratory care program are welcome to apply
