The Role

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join a comprehensive, award-winning health system in Portland, Oregon. In this full-time permanent position, you will perform diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with physician orders, utilising a range of sophisticated imaging equipment across a high-quality clinical environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or early-career radiologic technologist to develop their skills within a large, well-resourced health system committed to patient-focused, whole-person care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations as ordered by physicians, applying appropriate positioning, technique, and calibration
  • Utilise clinical knowledge and sound judgement to produce optimal, high-quality diagnostic images
  • Apply ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to minimise radiation exposure to patients and staff
  • Account for individual patient needs including age-related and clinical considerations when planning and executing examinations
  • Operate and maintain a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment in accordance with facility protocols
  • Document examinations accurately in the radiology information system and contribute to quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate with radiologists, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support timely, accurate diagnosis

Requirements

Must-Have โ˜…

  • โ˜… Oregon Radiographer Licence (permanent) โ€” or Oregon Radiographer Temporary Licence upon hire
  • โ˜… National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) โ€” required within 180 days of hire (new graduates: temporary licence accepted on hire)
  • โ˜… BLS certification from the American Heart Association โ€” required upon hire
  • โ˜… New graduates must hold an OBMI temporary licence and obtain the permanent licence within 6 months of hire

Compensation

  • Base salary: $76,939 โ€“ $119,475 per annum โ€” placement within range based on experience
