Radiation Therapy Technologist

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8-hour days from 08:00 to 16:00. Actual shift timings may vary, but minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is permitted.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapy Technologist will operate LINAC equipment to deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients. Responsibilities include assisting in the fabrication and use of positioning or restraining devices, performing patient's set-ups, and interpreting prescriptions. The role involves assisting with tumor localization and dosimetry, as well as performing CT clinical simulation procedures while maintaining close observation of patients in the treatment room. The technologist will work closely with physicians and team members to ensure a smooth simulation schedule and may participate in training radiation therapy students.

Responsibilities
  • Operate LINAC equipment to deliver radiation therapy.
  • Assist in the fabrication and use of positioning or restraining devices.
  • Perform patient set-ups and portal adjustments.
  • Assist in tumor localization and dosimetry procedures.
  • Perform CT clinical simulation procedures.
  • Maintain close observation and supervision of patients.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely simulation scheduling.
  • Participate in training for radiation therapy students.
  • Capture patient charges accurately.
  • Apply radiation safety principles and maintain ethical standards in patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
  • Current certifications: ARRT (R) and BLS required.
  • Experience with adult outpatient care and knowledge of ARIA and TrueBeam systems is preferred.
  • A valid and active state license is required at the time of submission.
