Intel's Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) team is looking for a versatile Software & Infrastructure Engineer to architect, build, andmaintaincloud-native applications and distributed systems that power semiconductor manufacturing and testing operations. This hybrid position combines software

engineeringexpertisewith infrastructure ownership, requiring you to manage full-stack solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.

You'llbe responsible forthe complete technology stack,from servers and virtual machines to Kubernetes clusters, networking, and application services. With an emphasis on security, reliability,automation,and operational excellence. Working closely with internalstakeholdersand externalcustomers,you'llintegrate complex systems, resolve technical challenges, and deliver robust, securehigh-qualitysolutions.

What You'll Do

Software Development & Architecture

  • Design, develop, test, and debug cloud-native applications, platform services, and automation tools that support STTD operations
  • Build andmaintaindistributed systems including APIs, microservices, data services, and job orchestration platforms with focus on reliability and performance

Infrastructure & Platform Management

  • Deploy and manage infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, including servers, VMs, and Kubernetes(k8s)clusters
  • Support on-premises compute and virtualization platforms, enabling scalable environments for development, testing, and production workloads

DevOps & Automation

  • Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation for build, deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Manage OS lifecycle operations including patching, validation, and change management processes

Operations & Support

  • Provide operational support through monitoring, logging, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S.Citizenshiprequired
  • Ability to obtain andmaintainUS Government TS Security Clearanceand SCI access
  • Bachelor's degreeor higherin Computer Science,Computer/Electrical Engineeringorina related STEM field.
  • 4+years of experience in software development (e.g., C#/.NET, Java, C++, Go, Python) including designing, testing, and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ActiveUS Government TS/SCISecurityClearance
  • Post Graduatedegreein Computer Science,Computer /Electrical EngineeringorinaSTEMrelated field.
  • Experience working with Azure and/or on-prem infrastructure (servers/VMs, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes).
  • Experiencewith cloud-native tools, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and their integration within on-prem cloud and virtualized environments.
  • Experiencein CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Ansible) and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $128,880.00-245,160.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Work Model for this Role
