About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking Project Manager Interns to support the successful execution of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects by assisting project managers and field leadership with coordination, documentation, and basic project controls. This role is designed for students or early-career individuals seeking hands-on experience in the utility construction industry and a potential pathway into a full-time Project Manager role.

This position provides exposure to real-world project execution, safety practices, financial tracking, and field operations while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

The internship runs from May 27, 2026 through August 7, 2026, with pay at $24/hour. Travel expenses are covered. Positions are available in Denver, CO; Lenexa, KS; and Columbus, OH.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
  • Support tracking of budgets, costs, and basic project financials
  • Help coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor logistics
  • Assist with preparation and management of project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
  • Participate in safety meetings and support safety compliance efforts
  • Conduct job site visits to observe and support field operations
  • Assist with project reporting and communication to internal teams
  • Support project closeout documentation and administrative tasks
  • Learn construction processes related to transmission, distribution, and substation work
  • This position may require a regular field presence in support of active projects
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required to support projects within the region
What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Interest in utility, electrical, or heavy civil construction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
