A Day in the Life

As a Workday Analyst - Financials & Projects,you'llsupport the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of Workday Financials and Projects, working closely with senior analysts to build your functional and technical Workdayexpertise. This isa great opportunityto grow your career in enterprise systems while contributing to meaningful, hands-on work.

Reporting to the Workday - Financials & Projects Lead, this role is well-suited for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, enjoys supporting a collaborative team, and wants to grow their skillsin Workday.You'llreceive guidance and mentorship from senior team members as you take on increasing responsibility over time. The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 USD,commensuratewith experience, skills, and geographic location. We welcome candidates based in both the United States and Canada; compensation for Canada-based hires will be aligned to the local market. The role can be based remotely, with a preference for candidateslocatednear one of our locations in Irvine, CA; Denver, CO; Little Rock, AR; or Calgary, AB.

To thrive in this role,you'llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Workday Configuration & Administration Support

  • Serve as a configuration specialized on projects, responsible for build, unit testing and deployment

  • Assistwith day-to-day Workday tenant configuration tasks, including business process updates, notifications, and condition rules, under the guidance of senior team members

  • Research configuration approachesleveragingWorkday Community, release notes andproductdocumentation and present findings to team

  • Support the maintenance of WorkdayPSA (Projects Billing, Project Budgets, Contracts, Invoicing, Customer Accounts, Revenue Management) by performing configuration updates and testing

  • Help administer routine security tasks such as user provisioning and role assignment updates

  • Monitor and triage lower-complexity system issues, escalating to senior analysts as needed

Business Analysis Support

  • Support senior analysts in gathering and documenting business requirements for Workday Financials, Projects, Project Billing, and Customer Accounts

  • Assistwith researching Workday release notes and new features to help the teamidentifypotential enhancements

  • Helpmaintaindocumentation of current-state processes and system configurations

Project Support & Coordination

  • Support project activities such as note-taking, tracking action items, andmaintainingproject plans

  • Help coordinate meetings and prepare materials for stakeholder updates

  • Contribute to the development of training materials and process documentation

End User Support

  • Respond to routine end-user questions and route more complex issues to senior analysts

  • Helpidentifyrecurring user pain points and share observations with the broader team

  • Support testing and validation of system changes prior to deployment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in Workday, another HR/Finance system, or a related business analysis role (internships and co-ops considered)

  • Foundational understanding of financial or project accounting concepts, with eagerness to build deeper Workday functionalexpertise

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiencyin MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project or collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet) a plus

  • Demonstrated interest in upleveling skills in Workday or enterprise systems, with eagerness to learn from senior team members

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize with guidance from senior team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to Workday or another ERP system (through coursework, an internship, or on-the-job experience)

  • Interest in pursuing a Workday certification

  • Exposure to a professional services or project-based business environment

  • Basic understanding of system security or data concepts
