Job description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an established consulting leader-a current Big Four Director, Managing Director, or Partner-track Senior Manager-to spearhead our highest-stakes Oil & Gas engagements. In this executive-level role, you will serve as the principal strategic architect for our most valuable Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and LNG accounts globally.

Leveraging the Celonis Process Intelligence platform, you will bridge the gap between macro energy transition strategies and modern cloud/AI execution models, moving clients from slide decks to realized operational value.

The Impact You'll Make C-Suite Advisory & Value Architecture
  • Peer-to-Peer Advisory: Partner directly with Oil & Gas C-suite executives (CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Chief Sustainability Officers) to align macro pressures-capital discipline, decarbonization, yield optimization, and supply chain volatility-with execution-level transformation roadmaps.
  • Map Enterprise Digital Twins: Oversee the deployment of the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph to build systemic, end-to-end operational models of complex oilfield, pipeline, or refining enterprises.
  • Orchestrate $100M+ Business Cases: Direct the formulation of board-ready Celonis Value Assessments, delivering the economic justification, working capital improvements, and OPEX returns required to greenlight massive cloud, IoT, and Edge AI investments.
Transformation Leadership & Ecosystem Governance
  • Steer Enterprise Transformations: Serve as the executive sponsor for high-visibility, Celonis-driven operating model overhauls for Fortune 500 O&G clients, guiding them from diagnostic discovery to closed-loop automation.
  • Architect Celonis Centers of Excellence (CoEs): Design and establish corporate-wide CoEs, defining the target operating models, governance structures, and enablement frameworks needed to embed data-driven decision-making into client cultures.
  • Untangle Systemic Friction: Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex operational leakages where siloed O&G stacks (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, IBM Maximo, Hydrocarbon Accounting systems) collide-specifically optimizing mega-project capital procurement, asset turnaround management, and joint venture accounting.
Commercial Growth & Scaled Innovation
  • De-Risk High-Value Sales Cycles: Convert complex regulatory, environmental, and safety mandates (EPA, OSHA, BSEE, API standards) into automated, visual compliance audits within the Celonis platform, transforming abstract risk management into compelling business cases that accelerate C-suite sign-off.
  • Commercialize Next-Gen "Process + AI" Use Cases: Direct the integration of industrial telemetry (refinery IoT, pipeline SCADA, digital oilfield data) into Celonis, translating complex data structures into high-margin, executive-ready offerings like predictive asset integrity and real-time carbon intensity tracking.
  • Productize Oil & Gas Value Plays: Codify repeatable client successes into scalable Celonis apps and action templates, establishing a library of industry-specific intellectual property that drives rapid time-to-value, net-new ARR, and account expansion.
The Profile We Are Looking For
  • Consulting Pedigree: 12+ years of progressive experience within a Big Four or elite management consulting firm, currently operating at the Director, Managing Director, or Partner level.
  • O&G Vertical Expertise: Deep, authoritative knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector (Upstream exploration/production, Midstream logistics, Downstream refining/petrochemicals, or LNG), with a track record of leading multi-million-dollar transformation programs.
  • SaaS & Process Intelligence Vision: Strong conceptual understanding of Process Mining paradigms. Experience with Celonis is highly advantageous, but a proven ability to leverage enterprise software to reshape business processes is required.
  • Architectural Fluency: Comprehensive understanding of the modern enterprise stack (SAP, Oracle, Maximo) and emerging data/AI paradigms (Azure AI, LLMs). Note: You do not need to write code or SQL queries, but you must possess the technical fluency to direct data scientists, engineers, and solution architects.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven capability in client origination, relationship management, and driving account growth through value-based selling.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial preferred), Computer Science, or Information Systems. An MBA from a top-tier business school is highly preferred.

Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
