Tuscaloosa, Alabama Salary/Pay Rate Range 90 ($125,304.00- $210,739.20 Annually). Additional Salary Information
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Limitations apply to current State employees.

Minimum Qualifications Doctorate degree in Psychology. 48 months or more clinical and administrative experience in psychological treatment and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prescribes, provides, and supervises direct care services for adult patients.
• Provides group and individual therapy and crisis management programs.
• Conducts initial psychological assessments, psychological assessment updates, psychological testing,
forensic evaluations, Hospital Review Board evaluation IVs, violence risk assessments, and suicide risk assessments.
• Participates in treatment planning for adult patients including participation in treatment team review
• meetings, individual treatment planning conferences, and other team meetings.
• Supervises non-doctoral psychology staff members, students, and interns as assigned.
• Assesses, interprets, and monitors data related to the provision of services.
• Provides leadership as a member of the Clinical Management Team.
• Obtains and maintains state licensure as a psychologist, certification as a forensic examiner, and obtain
and maintain membership on the Hospital medical staff.
• Ensures compliance with hospital standards
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
• Knowledge of mental disorders.
• Knowledge of psychotropic, psychoactive, and anti-convulsant medications.
• Knowledge of treatment strategies, various diagnostic disorders and categories, psychological
assessment interventions, and conflict intervention techniques.
• Ability to make clinical assessments and decisions, conduct therapy, and supervise
subordinates.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use personal computer and various software programs.
• Ability to ensure compliance with hospital standards.
