Knowledge and Skills

  • PSS®E and TSAT experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of power system analysis, transmission planning, and grid interconnection processes.
  • Expertise in PSS®E software for steady-state and dynamic system studies, with a strong proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python/IDEV) to streamline modeling, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Knowledge of transmission protection concepts and industry-standard relaying practices (e.g., NERC PRC standards) as they relate to steady-state and dynamic system analysis.
  • Experience with other industry tools is a plus, including PSCAD, PSLF, TARA, ASPEN, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects (wind, solar, storage) and their integration into the electric grid.
  • Possess the ability to achieve quality results, be change-oriented, foster innovation, and be a continuous learner.
  • Use effective communication skills (both written and oral), be customer-driven, and display teamwork behavior.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship or eligible to work remotely from Canada.

Compensation:
