Shift and Pay Details 2nd shift - 3:15PM to 11:45PM (Monday through Friday) Please note the Machinist C rolehas a base hourly rate of $18.00 to $23.50 DOE There is an additional 10% Shift Differential for this 2nd Shift position POSITION SUMMARY: Operate various pieces of equipment to meet production requirements. The primary equipment this position is hiring for is a CNC 3 Axis The information provided in this job description is based on cell specific criteria. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Use of some judgment to follow instructions with little or no choice to the procedures.
  • Make suggestions with regard to tooling, fixtures, etc. to increase efficiency and provide ideas to improve operations.
  • Load/feed machine as required to produce finished product.
  • Keep count of parts and maintain records.
  • Perform in-process inspection for dimensions of produced parts and maintain documentation as required.
  • Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
  • Work on various types of equipment as assigned.
  • Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
  • Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for identifying quality problems in materials.
  • Properly utilize evacuation system to minimize exposure to hazards.
  • Provide accurate and complete turnover from shift to shift.
  • Good housekeeping and safe working habits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • EDUCATION: High School diploma, general education degree (GED) and/or trade school graduate preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment, operating manual and/or CNC equipment, equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable.
