About This Role
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and support of electro mechanical products used in power and energy monitoring applications. This role works cross functionally with electrical, firmware, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for electronic instrumentation products.
  • Design and develop manufacturing fixturing and tooling for assembly of small electronic assemblies. Typically includes mechanical clamping, slides, pogo pin alignments, printing jigs etc.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Support product development from concept through production release.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, and basic structural analysis as required.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and design verification activities.
  • Collaborate with electrical and firmware engineers to ensure mechanical electrical integration through design reviews.
  • Support manufacturing with documentation, work instructions, and design changes (ECOs).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for field or production issues.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development (or equivalent internship experience).
  • Experience in design of plastic injection molded components and tooling.
  • Proficiency with parametric 3D CAD tools (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk).
  • Experience creating production ready drawings and BOMs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, plastics, assemblies).
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional engineering environment.
  • Experience or ability to learn Siemens NX + Teamcenter PLM as the primary documentation platform for internation cooperation on CAD libraries.
  • Robust design method + functional analysis + GD&T (tolerancing).
  • Experience with electronic enclosures or electro mechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting low to medium volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, IEC, RoHS).

Compensation: $110,000 to $120,000 USD
