What You'll Do
Support Client Accounts
  • Support day-to-day client communications through phone, email, meetings, and presentations

Drive Media Relations & Writing
  • Develop and execute media pitches across local, regional, and national media targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, editors, and industry contacts
  • Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, social copy, talking points, and other PR materials
  • Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Secure media coverage and support reporting on results and client ROI

Contribute to Strategy & Planning
  • Bring ideas to brainstorms, client planning sessions, and campaign development
  • Support development of PR plans, media strategies, and campaign recommendations
  • Monitor client industries, competitors, trends, and relevant news opportunities
  • Analyze coverage and performance metrics to support strategic recommendations

Support Events & Activations
  • Plan and support media events, press previews, client activations, and special events
  • Coordinate media attendance, guest lists, RSVPs, and event logistics
  • Attend client events, media opportunities, and TV segments as needed (occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends)

Mentor & Keep Things Moving
  • Delegate work to Account Coordinators and interns while supporting quality control
  • Provide mentorship, feedback, and day-to-day support to junior team members
  • Track time accurately and proactively flag potential scope concerns
  • Contribute positively to team culture, collaboration, and workflow

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of public relations, communications, or agency experience
  • Experience supporting multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency or client-service environment

  • Proven media pitching and relationship-building skills, with experience securing earned coverage
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through across multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients, media, and internal teams
