Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized PIM Content Intern to support the ingestion, organization, and maintenance of product assets, content, and attributes within our Product Information Management (PIM) system. This role will sit on the Dog & Cat DigiComm (Digital Marketing & eCommerce Sales) Team and report to the eCommerce Merchandising Manager. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets and digital assets, and eager to gain hands-on experience in eCommerce merchandising, digital content management, and product data operations.
This role is based out of our Neptune City, NJ facility.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Assist with digital catalog migration into Salsify (PIM platform), including product setup, attribute mapping, and data validation.
  • Support ongoing PIM-related projects and digital merchandising initiatives across eCommerce channels.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain a centralized product information and digital asset library within SharePoint.
  • Gather, clean, organize, and upload product data, marketing content, specifications, product images, and user-generated content into SharePoint and Salsify.
  • Audit and optimize product content, imagery, and digital assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Create and execute standardized image file naming conventions and asset organization processes.
  • Support enhancements to online product merchandising, including content updates and catalog optimization.
  • Assist with updates to product listings, images, specifications, attributes, and other digital assets across platforms.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure product data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, eCommerce, and brand teams to support digital content initiatives.
  • Help identify process improvement opportunities for content management and asset organization workflows.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
Required Experience: 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data cleanup.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Comfortable working with product images, digital content, and website information.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, E-Commerce, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with Figma, PIM tools (such as Salsify), SharePoint, or similar content management systems .
  • Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies that support digital content workflows.
  • Experience working with digital assets, DAM systems, or website content management tools is a plus.

Compensation: Interns are compensated on an hourly basis.
