We're looking for our next Learning & Engagement Intern!


What you'll be doing:

The Learning and Engagement intern will support the department's activities by participating in the preparation, organization and execution of community and educational events both on- and off-site. Based on operational need, the intern may assist in the creation and development of educational materials. Hours are flexible and work may be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work. In summary, this individual will:

  • Assists staff at internal and external community events and with project implementation.
  • Prepares BTPM PBS content for PBS LearningMedia.
  • Conducts database research and management.
  • Assists with general administrative tasks.
  • Attends and assists with community advisory board, educational services committee, and young adult advisory committee meetings as assigned.
  • Conducts online research for new and current projects.
  • Assists with distribution of education materials both digitally and in print, as appropriate.
  • Performs various ad hoc projects as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in education, media, communications, English, anthropology, sociology or related field - *must be qualifying for college/university course credit, documentation required
  • Comfortable speaking with the general public and school educators
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office or similar programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative, approachable, team-focused, and detail-oriented
