Seeking a Network Engineer for a long-term program supporting an IC customer in Dulles, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.
Introduction:

The Customer's office is seeking a Network Engineer to support the continuous monitoring and coordination of engineering projects, deployment and maintenance of network systems, and troubleshooting network issues. The role also involves guiding networking engineering efforts, maintaining network topology drawings, and providing Tier-3 engineering and support for virtualization infrastructure.

1. Assist with continuous monitoring of IT systems for Customer accreditation.
2. Coordinate engineering projects and resolve technical questions or conflicts.
3. Deploy and maintain network systems.
4. Diagnose network issues and restore the network to optimal performance levels.
5. Gather performance and utilization metrics from infrastructure components.
6. Guide networking engineering efforts in hardware, software, and virtual infrastructure domains.
7. Maintain up-to-date network topology drawings.
8. Perform moderately complex network designs and upgrades.
9. Perform Tier-3 engineering and support for virtualization infrastructure.
10. Plan network configurations for integration into the network.
11. Prepare technical proposals for changes or new technologies to the network.
12. Provide system documentation to support A&A efforts.
13. Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network.
14. Perform engineering efforts in Windows and Linux servers, workstations, storage, and virtualization.
15. Support network life cycle stages such as design, configure, test, deploy, and maintain.
16. Utilize network analysis tools to identify performance problems.
17. Diagnose and resolve technical problems with overseas populations.
18. Direct or install IT infrastructure and operating systems.
19. Inspect and test all equipment before deployment to overseas locations.
20. Make recommendations on the best deployment strategy.
21. Provide end-to-end support of field network and forensic capabilities.
22. Provide real-time and 24/7 on-call support to worldwide users.
23. Provide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other integrated documentation.
24. Provide technical support to various Customer-developed and COTS forensic application developers.
25. Research and recommend systems, equipment, and technologies to improve existing systems.
26. Use application deployment guides and information from application developers to determine the most efficient IT infrastructure components.

1. Demonstrated experience analyzing existing systems and identifying necessary corrective actions and improvements.
2. Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting gold image hard drives.
3. Demonstrated experience coordinating and performing security testing.

5. Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Routing and Switching systems (Cisco expertise required).

8. Demonstrated experience performing configuration and management of automation solutions.

13. Demonstrated forensic software experience, including Cellebrite, XRY, WinHex, FTK, and Autopsy.
14. Demonstrated experience with Gateway Redundancy Protocols to include HSRP and VRRP.

16. Demonstrated experience with network security, such as firewalls and ACLs.
17. Demonstrated experience with routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
