Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific. **The Job**Network Engineer assists in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking to establish a solid foundation in network engineering within a collaborative IT environment.**Responsibilities*** Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.* Monitor network performance and availability; respond to alerts and outages under guidance from senior staff.* Provide first-level support for network-related incidents and service requests.* Collaborate with other IT teams to support ongoing infrastructure projects.* Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.* Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability.* Support inventory management of networking hardware and cabling.* Stay informed on basic networking trends and best practices.* Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.* Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols.* Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.* Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from senior engineers.* Internship or hands-on experience in a network support role is a plus.* Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing) are preferred.* Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems is preferred.**Reports To** Vice President of Network Operations**Location**This is an on site role. No remote work available.**Travel**Occasional travel may be required as needed.**Work Environment**This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including laptop computers and smartphones.**Physical Demands**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.**Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work**This is a full-time position.
