We are the leaders in the orthopedic community of East Central Florida. The Orthopedic Clinic has served our community since 1961 and opened The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center in 2015. We get our patients back to the life they love with high quality, individualized orthopedic care. The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center is seeking an enthusiastic and driven candidate that has previous experience in a fast paced clinic setting to join our dynamic team as a Radiologic Technologist.
The Radiologic Technologist will ensure quality x-rays, operate x-ray equipment, position patients, perform quality diagnostic radiographs, observe safety and security protocols. This role requires experience with hands on patient care in an outpatient setting, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, patient movement and positioning for exams.

Requirements
What the Radiologic Technologist will do:
• Applies radiology intelligence to patients to relieve anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
• Utilizes critical thinking skills in positioning patient by turning and lifting patients with restricted mobility.
• Minimizes radiation doses to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques (ALARA), using beam restrictive devices, patient protective shielding, and awareness of exposure factors
• Verifies physician order for procedure and diagnosis to ensure all supporting documentation matches. Chooses the correct ICD-10 code when completing x-ray orders
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Communicates closely with the physicians to insure utmost patient care with exact positioning and anatomy resulting in proper view for physicians
• Cleaning of imaging rooms in preparation for the next patient
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in Radiology is required from an accredited education program
• Maintain valid ARRT certification
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in medical/healthcare setting
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products, EPM and EHR software applications, preferably Athena
• Valid Driver's License / Clean driving record / Proof of auto insurance
